The 27-year-old star donned a skimpy white minidress as she posed for a sexy new photoshoot in Beverley Hills last week. With her brunette hair swept sexily into a side ponytail, Cheryl smiled and gazed seductively into the camera during the shoot. It was reported earlier this month that while Cheryl is expected to still have a role on the programme, it will be as Simon Cowell's helper, the position taken by Sinitta in the UK version of the show, rather than as a judge on the panel when the show hits America. A source said recently: 'Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost.’And high-profile American celebrity blogger Perez Hilton said yesterday he understands why Cheryl hasn't been offered a main role on the programme when it starts later this year, adding that her strong accent might cause issues with US viewers. |

Granted, said remake has Joel and Ethan Coen behind the script, fresh off their biggest box office success ever with "True Grit," as well as recent Oscar-winner Colin Firth playing Harry Tristan Dean, the role established by treasured thespian Michael Caine. But then came word that Cameron Diaz is playing Nicole Chang, a role that Shirley MacLaine made famous in the 1966 original. Diaz isn't the most obvious successor to MacLaine, sure, but maybe she doesn't need to be. |
