Scarlett Johansson
Born: 22 November 1984
Where: New York City, New York, USA
Awards: Won 1 BAFTA, Nominated for 2 Golden Globes
Height: 5' 4"
Johansson was born in New York City. Her father, Karsten Johansson, is a Danish-born architect, and her paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, was a screenwriter and director. Her mother, Melanie Sloan, a producer, comes from a Jewish American family from the Bronx. Johansson's parents met in Denmark, where her mother lived with Johansson's maternal grandmother, Dorothy, a former bookkeeper and schoolteacher. Johansson has an older sister, Vanessa, who is also an actress; an older brother, Adrian; a twin brother, Hunter, also an actor; and a half-brother from her father's re-marriage, Christian.
Johansson grew up in a household with "little money". She began her theater training by attending and graduating from Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 2002.
Filmography: Often a young actress will deliver a performance so strong, so mature she is feted as the Next Big Thing. But the description is usually used more in hope than expectation. We all know that many years and many films can pass before she'll live up to her early promise, if indeed she ever does. Early 2004, though, saw the arrival of a young talent who seemed near fully-formed, despite being still in her teens.

Scarlett Johansson Embraces 'Iron Man 2' 'Super Shape-Shifter' Black Widow
Scarlett Johansson nice

We caught up with the beauty moments after she left the stage at Hall H to discuss her ass-kicking enigma Black Widow.
Scarlett Johansson crazy

Whose side is she fighting on? I don't know," Johansson said cryptically, following Favreau's lead in playing off the character's good and bad personas in the comics, while saying she's neither a superhero nor a supervillain. "I think you've just got to call me a super shape-shifter, I suppose.
Scarlett Johansson sexy
"I'm kicking some major ass — so I would say 'major' is the amount of ass I kick," laughed Johansson, who endured months of blood, sweat and egg-white omelettes to pull off the role of the femme fatale and do all her own stunts.
Scarlett Johansson hot
"Whose ass do I kick?" she grinned, choosing her words carefully. "Well, you're just going to have to wait and see. You don't really want to know, do you?"
Scarlett Johansson beautiful

Oh, we guess not. But still, we were eager to hear about her favorite "Iron Man 2" scene.
"Well, I have to say all my stunt sequences, because those are the ones I know best," she reasoned. "I've got to fight for them. I've got to be my own cheerleader. So, all the Black Widow sequences, of course."
Finally, we couldn't resist asking one question about her own personal superhero: hubby Ryan Reynolds. Now that he's playing both the Green Lantern and Deadpool, and she's Black Widow, are there any superhero rivalries going on at home?
