Prachi Desai is an actress who had started her carrier from the Telivision world. Prachi Desai was born on 12th September 1988 in Surat, Gujarat, India. Prachi’s father was involved in theater. Her mother is Ameeta Desai. She did a course in modeling and was seventeen years old when she got her first role in television. She studied at the Sinhgad College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Pune. Prachi Desai’s first role in television was with Balaji Telefilms’ Kasam Se on Zee TV as Bani. In Vodafone’s Yeh Hai Jalwa she was seen as a mentor for the team ‘Masti Ki Paathshaala’. Bipasha Basu Was replaced By An Hot Actress

News is spreading far and wide that the sexy siren of Bollywood Bipasha Basu has been replaced by a small screen actor Prachi Desai. It is reported that Prachi has stepped into Bipasha’s shoes and signed Abbas Mustan’s next thriller Life Partner starring Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Genelia d'Souza.

Bipasha was cast in most of the films of Abbas Mustan but this time the director duo has preferred a TV artist over Bipasha. Prachi declared that she is doing the film but at the same time expressed her ignorance of replacing Bips. Prachi aka Bani of Kasam Se after invading Tellywood ventured into Bollywood. She will debut with Rock On opposite Farhan Akhtar.

In films, people will get to see their favorite Bani in a totally new avatar. She will shed her simple, gharelu image and sport a college girl with skimpy and trendy clothes. Prachi is very glad the way her career is taking shape and at the same time quite excited to be cast opposite director turned actor Farhan Akhtar who has in his credit Don and Dil Chahta Hai.

By now its common knowledge that TV actress Prachi Desai (of Kasamh Se fame) is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Farhan Akhtar in Rock On. However, even before her debut film hits the screens; Prachi has already bagged her next film.

The buzz has it that Prachi has been signed as one of the female leads in Abbas-Mustan’s home production Life Partner. The film which stars Fardeen Khan, Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza is directed by Rumi Jaffrey. Prachi confirmed this piece of news. “Yes, I have signed the film but it’s too early to talk about it. I can’t reveal many details about Life Partner. All I can say is that when I heard the script, I loved it and am happy that I am a part of it,” signed off the bubbly actress.

With two big banner films on hand, looks like Prachi is all set to kick-start her Bollywood career with a bang.
