Lindsay Lohan has been accused of Tweeting for cash.

The troubled actress is said to have been paid to promote products among her followers on social networking website Twitter.

Lohan, 24, who is followed by more than 1.4m people on the site, posted an advert for gift cards on her account. Users who clicked on the link were taken to TaDa.com.
“We do not work directly with Lindsay, nor have any direct affiliation with her. She belongs to a promotion network, Mylikes, where TaDa publishes its sale content,' Mary Yee, VP of marketing at Shopzilla Inc, the owner of TaDa, said in a statement.
Lohan is said to have raked in between $2,985 and $10,000 by promoting products on Twitter.

Lindsay Lohan may have a new girlfriend, she has been linked to Eilat Anschel. The Hollywood Gossip says the relationship may have begun while Lindsay using Eilat Anschel as a "shoulder to cry on" during the probation / bail / ankle monitor drama, and the 'relationship' evolved.

More Lilio love life rumors...Lohan has also reportedly been getting to know rugby star Danny Cipriani. The 23-year-old reportedly first met the British rugby star, who recently split with model Kelly Brook, over drinks after the USA-England World Cup match in Hollywood where they swapped numbers.

The rugby player then returned to the UK but when he later flew back to the States for work, Lohan quickly got in touch. A friend said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: "Danny is the ultimate gentleman when he is around women - it's something which Lindsay really isn't used to.

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol monitoring bracelet reportedly went off at a MTV Movie Awards party on Sunday. Lohan was attending pop singer Katy Perry’s MTV Movie Awards after party when her SCRAM bracelet began flashing wildly.

“All of a sudden, her ankle bracelet started flashing furiously – bright red, fast flashes,” an unidentified source reportedly told Star magazine.
The ankle bracelet is supposed to alert if Lindsay Lohan consumes alcohol. Lohan was ordered to wear the bracelet last month after missing probation hearings over several DUI incidents. Even though the bracelet went off, however, it doesn’t necessarily mean Lohan was drinking.

“She wasn’t drinking or doing drugs that I saw,” the source told Star. A technician reportedly told the tabloid that the ankle bracelet could have gone off due to a “technical issue.”

We do hope it was just a glitch and Lohan wasn’t stupid enough to violate a court order she knows could land her in jail. Lohan is due in court again on July 6; let’s hope she can keep it clean at least until then!

Lindsay Lohan forbidden from drinking

Actress Lindsay Lohan left the Beverly Hills courthouse Monday wearing an alcohol monitoring device and the knowledge that she will be subject to weekly random drug tests and probably won't be able to go to Texas to film a movie.

After missing a mandatory court appearance last week because she claimed she was stuck in Cannes, France, after her passport was stolen, Lohan finally faced the judge who responded to her absence by issuing a warrant for her arrest. The 23-year-old actress is on probation for drunk driving.

Judge Marsha N. Revel forbade the actress to consume alcohol, ordered her to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet and required random drug testing every week in Los Angeles.

As part of Lohan's bail condition, she must attend a weekly alcohol treatment program unless it interferes with a random drug test. Revel set a July 6 hearing to review Lohan's compliance. Her probation could be revoked.

Lindsay Lohan ripped for not attending the court

The actress' attorney says her client was stuck in France at the Cannes Film Festival because her passport was stolen but that she got a temporary one and will return Friday.

Lindsay Lohan got a tongue-lashing Thursday from an L.A. County judge after the actress failed to appear in court for a hearing, instead remaining in France at the Cannes Film Festival.

While dozens of reporters and camera crews converged on the Beverly Hills courthouse, Lohan was in France after a week of red-carpet premieres and yacht parties, her moves captured by the paparazzi.

The actress was scheduled for a mandatory court appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court so a judge could review the status of her probation from a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

When Lohan didn't show up, a clearly frustrated Judge Marsha N. Revel issued an arrest warrant for the 23-year-old performer.

"Actions speak louder than words. I've heard the best words in the world, but the actions are far more important," Revel said. "She has a history of not keeping scheduled appointments."

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan's attorney, told the judge that her client was stuck in France because her passport was stolen but that she now had a temporary passport. Holley said she expects Lohan to return Friday.

Revel seemed skeptical. "If she wanted to be here, it looks to the court that she could have been here," the judge said. "But right now that's irrelevant. She was ordered to be here. ... There's really no valid excuse."

After the hearing, it appeared likely either that authorities would arrest Lohan when she arrived in Los Angeles or that her attorney would immediately have the actress surrender to a law enforcement agency. But Thursday afternoon, officials announced that Lohan's attorney had posted 10% of her $100,000 bail and that the arrest warrant had been recalled.

The actress is now scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Revel said she will recommend that new conditions be imposed, including that Lohan not drink alcohol, that she wear a device to measure any alcohol in her system and that she submit to random drugs tests at least weekly. The judge said the drug testing is appropriate because Lohan's 2007 case also involved cocaine use.

Revel ordered that a probation revocation hearing be set on whether Lohan had failed to comply with a required alcohol treatment program. The judge said that Lohan had not followed her order to get court approval before missing alcohol treatment classes and that the actress had previously flouted treatment requirements. Lohan has already had her probation extended a year.

Chapman Holley said her client was substantially in compliance on treatment and completed most of the required classes. In a report to the court, the treatment program provider said Lohan was in compliance with program requirements.
