Abigail Rose Clancy is also known as Abi Clancy or Abbey Clancy, is an English lingerie and catwalk model. Born in Liverpool, Clancy was member of girl band Genie Queen, who were managed by 80s popstar Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. The highlight of their career was supporting boyband Blue on tour. However, the band didn’t secure a record deal and fell apart.

After football striker Peter Crouch signed for Liverpool, the pair started dating. Clancy became a fully fledged WAG, and became part of the England teams WAG group during 2006 FIFA World Cup. The pair are now an irregular feature of various media stories, focusing on their relatively quiet and stable relationship. Her cousin Chloe Cummings, made the top 13 contestants in the fifth cycle of Britain's Next Top Model, of which Clancy herself was a guest in episode 8, being the first ex-contestant from the Top Model franchise to appear on the judging panel. On 22 December 2009, Clancy appeared as a "contestant" on a spoof version of Blind Date as part of an episode of Alan Carr: Chatty Man in which Cilla Black was a guest.

Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed for the magazine wearing only body paint to make it appear as if she was wearing an England shirt. Clancy appeared in a 2010 campaign for Umbro sportswear, modelling an England shirt, along with other footballer's wives and girlfriends from countries that have won the World Cup. At only 23 years of age, Abigail Clancy has already carved out a hugely successful career in both modeling and television. 2009 promises to be an even bigger year still for the Liverpudlian beauty, after last years success with her first ever presenting role on ITV2’s The Fashion Project and a modeling contract as the face and body of Matalan which is set to continue this year.

Abbey first burst into the public conscience in 2004, when she became the runner up in Livings hit series Britain’s Next Top Model, where she was runner up in the series. Following on the from this success, Living signed Abbey up for her own series, namely Abbey & Janice: Beauty & The Best in 2007, opposite supermodel Janice Dickinson.
