Career
At the age of 13, Pulver successfully auditioned for the National Youth Music Theatre, a prestigious youth theatre company sponsored by Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Prince's Trust, which she attended between 1994-1998 1997, she won a place at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts, one of the UK's foremost performing arts colleges,where she studied dance and musical theatre full time, graduating in 2000. She has been featured as a graduate success story on the College's websit and has since worked successfully as an actress, singer and dancer in major productions of West End musicals, including national tours and regional theatre productions.
In 2007, Pulver was nominated for the 2008 Olivier Award for 'Best Actress in a Musical' following her playing the lead role of Lucille Frank in the first West End production of the musical Parade, which was staged at the Donmar Warehouse. The production was directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford and played at the theatre from September 24 to November 24, 2007. Reviewer Blanche Marvin said of her that 'despite a rich voice, to sing with shrillness in her higher register but her portrait of Lucille was quite moving'.She later reprised the role in the Los Angeles production at the Mark Taper Forum opposite T.R. Knight.
In 2008, Pulver recorded a song for the CD Act One - Songs from the Musicals of Alexander S. Bermange, an album of 20 brand new recordings by 26 West End stars, released in November 2008 on Dress Circle Records.
Pulver joined the cast of BBC's Robin Hood on 25 April 2009 as Isabella, the sister of Guy of Gisbourne and the new Sheriff of Nottingham.
In 2010, Pulver joined the cast of the third season of HBO's True Blood as Sookie Stackhouse's fairy godmother, Claudine Crane.
